Photo Bomb!

Thanks for checking out the latest edition of Photo Bomb!, your weekly roundup of all movie-related photos and posters floating around the internet.

Overall, a pretty slow week in the photo world, but there still plenty of good stuff here. This week, photos from films include "House at the End of the Street", "Ted", "Maleficent", "Raging Bull II", and "Oz, The Great and Powerful". And then we have some posters from such films as "The Dark Knight Rises", "Frankenweenie", "Taken 2", "Savages", "Won't Back Down", and "Total Recall".

And since it has been such a slow week in this department, you can also take a look at some of the photos taken from the newly opened Cars Land, at Disney California Adventure. It's not one of my favorite Disney Pixar films, but it's still kind of cool to see how they turned the different sets and characters in the film into real attractions.

We start this week with a few new images from "House at the End of the Street". This horror-thriller stars Hunger Games star, Jennifer Lawrence. This looks like it should be a good little film for the genre. Other than the acting abilities of Lawrence, I still don't really think this will have much new or unique to offer. We'll find out on September 21, 2012, when this one hits theaters though. (Collider)

"Ted" is the Seth MaFarlane comedy that stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, as well as the creator as the voice of a talking teddy bear. I'm still not sold on this one, as I've never really liked anything that MacFarlane has done. I really like Mark Wahlberg though, so who knows. (Facebook)

Next we have some pretty cool stuff from Disney's upcoming Sleeping Beauty adaptation, "Maleficent". These first images aren't very exciting yet, but we do get our first glimpse of Angelina Jolie, who will star in the title role. Not sure why this character is in the middle of a field with cattle, but I'm sure they'll find a way to pull it all together. (E! Online and SpoilerTV)

We have the first two photos for the controversial "Raging Bull II", which just started production. Many are against this sequel/prequel (the film actually takes place in LaMotta's earlier life) because they don't want it to tarnish the legacy of the original Martin Scorsese and Robert DeNiro classic. Martin Guigui ("Beneath the Darkness") will direct this installment, in which no one from the original will be involved. (JoBlo)

Our last of the movie images isn't even actually an image from production, but it is cool to start seeing this one come together. "Oz, The Great and Powerful" derives its storylines from the Wizard of Oz classic, but ventures more into, obviously, the life of Oz. This adaptation is being directed by Sam Raimi, and stars James Franco as Oz. Other notable actors in the film include Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weisz. It's set for a 2013 release. (Bleeding Cool)

We start our Movie Posters section with these four promo posters for "The Dark Knight Rises". We've seen a lot of great stuff for this film, but these posters are not it. I hate these actually. But, maybe they were made for kids or something; they look pretty cartoony. Regardless, this anticipated finale releases July 20, 2012. (SuperHeroHype)

We jump to a few new character posters for the Tim Burton film, "Frankenweenie". Burton again teams up with Disney for this film ("Alice in Wonderland"), which will hit theaters in 3D on October 5, 2012. Hit the link for full descriptions for each character. (Collider)

This is the first banner poster for "Taken 2", which returns Liam Neeson as an ass-kicking ex-CIA operative. This one also hits theaters October 5, 2012. (Empire)

"Savages" is Oliver Stone's latest film, which stars Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, and Benicio Del Toro. This drug-centric pic hits theaters in just a few more weeks, July 6, 2012. (Beyond Hollywood)

We also have a poster for the film "Won't Back Down", which is based on the true story of two women who fight to reform urban education. Pretty basic poster here, but I think this looks like a very heartwarming story, if you're into that sort of thing. (IMP Awards)

Finally, these viral posters are for the remake "Total Recall". This version will star Colin Farrell, Jessical Biel, Kate Beckinsale, and Bryan Cranston. I like these posters; I think they work pretty well. Check this one out in theaters on August 3, 2012. (IMP Awards)

And just because there is such little content this week, if you care to check out Disney California Adventure's latest attraction, Cars Land, scroll down for some of the promo images from its opening on June 15, 2012. (TheDisneyBlog)

So that's what we're looking at this week. Again, I know it's not a ton of variety, but anything above interest you?
