Slackers Selection CinemaCast: Episode 15

Thanks for checking out this week's edition of the Slackers Selection CinemaCast!

This week, we only one new film opening nationwide, and that was Tim Burton's latest, Dark Shadows". Unfortunately none of us got the chance to check it out this weekend, but all is well, as that just provided us more time to talk about "The Avengers"! The film again set weekend box office records, surpassing $1-Billion dollars worldwide in only 10 days. Again, a few spoilers are discussed, but shame on you if you haven't seen the film yet anyway.

We also talk about our thoughts on next weekend's releases, including "Battleship", "The Dictator", and "What to Expect When You're Expecting". We're generally uninterested with all of these films, as "The Avengers" has left a thirst for the best or nothing at all.

Also, we talk "Take Me Home Tonight" and some generic plot-points in films we're sick of seeing!

  1. you know what the craziest thing about the 'Take Me Home Tonight' movie is... they don't play the song even once! glad we were able to fix that via podcast.

    1. I always thought that about the film as well. So I know this wasn't a movie score, but it still seemed fitting. Plus it's a sweet song anyway!
