As most of you probably know, the Bourne franchise is set to release another film later this year. The biggest difference in the new one is that previous star, Matt Damon, will no longer be headlining. Jeremy Renner is now that man, but not in a re-casting situation. Renner's story comes after the events of Damon's, and only continues the story arc.Check out the teaser for the film, first featured on Apple, after the break. This is our first look at Renner in the film, who joins Ed Norton, Rachel Weisz, Joan Allen and Albert Finney.
The film is set to release August 3, 2012.
I think the trailer looks pretty good actually. It does a good job of moving on from Damon's character, but also noting its significance. I think this franchise has a good chance to go on and succeed even after Damon. Renner is a good choice here, and it's nice to see him get a leading role like this.
