Movie Trailer: "American Reunion"

Another day at the Slackers Selection Movie Blog, another movie trailer. This is one I've really been anticipating for a while though. "American Reunion" is the fourth installment of the American Pie franchise and returns all of the main cast from the original 1999 film.

I know this film probably isn't on many people's must-see lists for 2012, but for me, it's been in the top 10 all along. I know many of you probably were bored with the franchise by the third movie, but with the entire original cast finally back together, how can this not be fun? I've always enjoyed watching these characters grow up over the films, and I think this will be a great cap to the series (assuming it's the last one..). And while the movies are always pretty raunchy and explicit, there's still a lot of genuine heart. The movie looks to be well-made, and if nothing else, I'll have fun watching all of the these characters share the screen together one last time.

Check out the official trailer and synopsis for the film after the break.

Here's the trailer, that first hit via Yahoo! Movies:

Looks pretty good to me. Plus who doesn't love that song that's featured at the end of this? I don't think it was in the first movie, but it still definitely gives me a nostalgic feeling when I hear it.

Anyway, here's the official synopsis for the film:
In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago return to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship.
It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have passed, Jim and Michelle married while Kevin and Vicky said goodbye. Oz and Heather grew apart, but Finch still longs for Stifler’s mom. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about—and get inspired by—the hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend.
The movie is written and directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, and opens nationwide on April 6, 2012.

What do you guys think about this one?
