M. Night Shyamalan's "After Earth" Set Photos

As some of you may know, director M. Night Shyamalan has recently started filming on his latest project, "After Earth". And ever since the cast and crew has arrived in Costa Rica, where the majority of the film is being shot, pictures have been popping up all over the place.

The movie by the way, stars Will Smith and son Jaden Smith as a father and son who crash land on an alien planet. As it turns out, the planet is Earth, but Earth 1,000 years after it's been completely abandoned.

Attached after the break is a slightly larger version of the photo above, as well as four others from a variety of different places taken over the last couple of days. Some come from Shyamalan's WhoSay page, some from his Twitter account, and others from Smith's Facebook page. So check them all out after the jump and see what you think.

So that's what we're workin' with so far. I think Will looks great, aged and weathered nicely. Not a whole lot more to go on yet though. And even though they're filming in a jungle-type area, since the planet is supposed to have been abandoned for 1,000 years I'll be curious to see where this is actually supposed to be; where the story will take place.

I'm really hoping Shyamalan can get back to classic form with this one. After hitting nicely with "The Sixth Sense" and "Signs", he's stumbled as of late, with overall failures in "The Happening" and "The Last Airbender". The story line for this one seems pretty good in theory, so I'm hoping he still has a little magic left.
