Photo Bomb!

Thanks for checking out the latest edition of Photo Bomb!, your weekly roundup of all movie-related photos and posters floating around the internet.

We'll jump right into things this week, as we have new photos and images from the films "The Way, Way Back", "Thor: The Dark World", "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan
III", "Liz and Dick", "This Is 40", "Django Unchained", "Les Miserables", "Taken 2", "The Lone Ranger", "The Wolf of Wall Street", "JOBS", "The Silver Linings Playbook", "Passion", "The Paperboy", and "Lawless".

And only a few new movie posters this week, but still, new stuff for "Life of Pi", "Trouble With the Curve", "Killing Them Softly", "Looper", "Hotel Transylvania", "That's What She Said", "Arbitrage", "Texas Chainsaw 3D", and "Butter".

Hit the jump for all of this week's latest content!

We'll start with our first image from "The Way, Way Back". This one is scripted by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, both of whom received acclaim for their 2011 script, "The Descendants". This film will star Steve Carell and Sam Rockwell, and again is another dramedy about about family and friendships. (The Film Stage)

Here are our first set photos from the upcoming Thor sequel, "Thor: The Dark World". I'm sure with fancy cameras and filters this will end up looking pretty epic, but currently, it just looks like set pieces from the television show "LOST". I'm looking forward to this sequel though; while "Thor" didn't do a whole lot for me, I still really liked the character. This is part of Marvel's Phase II, and will release in 2013 along with "Iron Man 3". (SuperHeroHype)

Charlie Sheen is continuing on a pretty nice comeback trail lately. Just the other day FX renewed his TV show, Anger Management, for 90 episodes. Today, we get our first images from the film "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III". Sheen will play the title character, while actors such as Bill Murray, Patricia Arquette, and Jason Schwartzman will also appear. (Entertainment Weekly)

And speaking of comeback trails, Lindsey Lohan is trying to work her way back into relevancy, and her inclusion in the upcoming Elizabeth Taylor biopic, "Liz and Dick", should help. I think she can actually succeed in this role, and if she doesn't go crazy again, I'll be curious to see where her career goes from here. (Collider)

Up next (and actually, for the next four films), we have new stuff courtesy of Premiere Magazine. Unfortunately, since these are all images featured in their latest edition, they're not of the greatest quality. But it's still new content, so we'll take a look! Here, a new shot from "This Is 40". This is in the unofficial spin-off to Judd Apatow's 2007 hit, "Knocked Up". This hits theaters December 21 of this year. (Premiere)

Another new one from Premiere Magazine (and their latest cover), this time for "Django Unchained". I'm loving this movie more and more every day; I've watched the trailer so many times and it gets better every time I watch it. I really hope this movie doesn't let me down, but this might be my most anticipated film for the rest of the year. This is where I will be Christmas day. (ComicBookMovie)

We move next to a few more from "Les Miserables". It's been a few weeks since we've seen anything new from this film, but for fans out there, no need to panic. It looks like things are still going to plan; still looks good and costumey. Should make a good splash in the tech categories this awards season, if nothing else. (Premiere)

Our final photo from Premiere Magazine is for "Taken 2". There were also a few others released via another source, so I've combined them all into one spot. The first is from Premiere, while the others are from our Russian friends at Kinopoisk. I really have no interest in this film. The first one was great, but this is just trying to cash in on the previous film's success (I'm not saying that's dissimilar from most sequels, but is there really a story that needs to be told here?). I bet the action will again be quite good, and Liam Neeson is still pretty sweet, but overall, I expect this will bore me. (Kinopoisk)

On to more set photos for "The Lone Ranger". This adaptation, starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, won't hit theaters until next summer, and the continued early set photos we've received so far confirm such. I don't know if I have much interest in this film yet, but we'll see. I think I'm glad Armie Hammer is getting a shot at more of a starring role though. (JerryBruckheimerBlog)

Here's a film I'm hoping will be decent, "The Wolf of Wall Street". As we can see from this photo, Leonardo DiCaprio takes the lead here, in yet another Martin Scorsese film. Matthew McConaughey and Jonah Hill will also appear, along with a slew of other notable actors. We're looking at 2013 for this one. (Just Jared)

If you forgot that Ashton Kutcher was headlining the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, "JOBS", then you're not alone. I guess it won't get its release until 2013, but I continue to forget that this film is happening. Is Kutcher going to surprise the acting world and pull off a great performance, or is everyone going to forget about this movie right away? (X17)

This latest handful from "The Silver Linings Playbook" isn't anything too exciting, but I don't expect much of the imagery to be too exciting for this character dramedy. I like the cast, and David O. Russell has consistently directed films I've enjoyed. This appears to have some good potential to be something I'll enjoy quite a bit, but we'll find out for sure on November 21, 2012, when this one hits theaters. (Collider)

Brian De Palma's latest project, "Passion", is starting to create quite a bit of buzz, and with such a solid looking cast, I can understand it. These couple of photos were released at the New York Film Festival, in anticipation of its debut there next month. For general audiences waiting to catch a peak of this film however, it won't get its theater release until early 2013. (NYFF)

And speaking of the New York Film Festival, Lee Daniels' "The Paperboy" is also starting its festival run there, and the studio has released these new stills to go along with it. As you can see from the photos, the cast is impressive, and we know that Daniels can direct after seeing 2009's "Precious". (NYFF)

Our final images for this week's Photos section are from "Lawless". I realize that this film hits theaters this weekend, so this isn't anything too exciting, but these were released early last week - this column runs on Fridays; my hands were tied. Anyway, if you haven't made it to the theater for this film yet, here's the last batch officially released from the studio featuring the various characters involved. (HeyUGuys)

Let's run through this Movie Posters section real quick since, like last week, there's just not a lot of new content on the poster front. But let's start it off with this newest one for "Life of Pi". I still don't understand this film (nor have really tried), but the imagery looks nice. And Ang Lee is a very competent director. I'm still waiting for more from this film though. (IMP Awards)

Next up, a pretty generic looking poster for "Trouble With the Curve". I like baseball a lot, and I think this will be a decent film, but they didn't try very hard with this poster. I'm still looking forward to checking this out upon its release though. (IMP Awards)

This poster, on the other hand, I really like. I loved the last poster that was released for "Killing Them Softly", and this international poster might be even better. The straight-black backgrounds they're using with the white font and gritty imagery is fantastic. I don't care a whole lot about this film (I still want to see it), but I really want to own these posters. The film hits theaters October 19, 2012. (Flicks and Bits)

Here are a couple of character posters for "Looper", featuring both of its stars, Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. We're starting to see more content on a more regular basis for this film. At this point, I'm hearing good things from it, and I'm very much looking forward to its release on September 28, 2012. (ineedmyfix)

I don't much care about this animated feature, "Hotel Transylvania", but since we're approaching its release date as well, we're going to start seeing new content about every week until its release, also on September 28. (BeautifulBallad)

This is the first poster for the independent comedy "That's What She Said". I watched the trailer the other day, and even though I enjoy Anne Heche, I'm not sure this film does anything for me. Interesting tidbit though: the film is directed by Carrie Preston, who most are probably familiar with as playing Arlene in the HBO television show "True Blood". (IMP Awards)

Here are two poster for the Richard Gere thriller, "Arbitrage". Early buzz is pretty positive so far for this thriller, so I'll be interested to give it a look. The second poster below is the international poster for the film, and if you weren't aware of some of the themes for the film, the title translation should help you clear it up. (Upcoming-Movies)

That's right, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a bit lengthy of a title for today's audiences. For this newest installment for the franchise (who even knew we were getting another Texas Chainsaw movie?), they made it short and sweet: "Texas Chainsaw 3D". I'm not sure how the actual film will go over, but Lionsgate has released an awesome first poster for the film, which is set to release in January of 2013. (Fangoria)

Finally, the first poster for "Butter". I've had my eye on this film for a really long time now, so I'm interested in seeing the first bits of material come out for it. The cast is great, and I'm really hoping this dark comedy doesn't hold back in its execution. General audiences will finally get a chance to see it October 5, 2012. (Upcoming-Movies)
