Photo Bomb!

Thanks for checking out the latest edition of Photo Bomb!, your weekly roundup of all movie-related photos and posters floating around the internet.

Films with new photos this week include "The Last Stand", "The Wolverine", "Behind the Candelabra", "Aftershock", "The Iceman", "They Came Together", "Seven Psychopaths", "Skyfall", "Resident Evil: Retribution", "Trouble With the Curve", "The Girl", "The Counselor", and "The Lords of Salem".

And we'll take a look at some new posters for films "The Lords of Salem", "Frankenweenie", "Why Stop Now", "Pitch Perfect", "Hotel Transylvania", "The Bourne Legacy", "The Big Wedding", "Lawless", and "Machete Kills".

Plenty of great content this week, so hit the jump to check it out!

We'll start with our first image for "The Last Stand", which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. The photo isn't anything too exciting, but if you're anything like me then you're happy to see Schwarzenegger back to acting again. And I'll take any films I can get him in right now! (USA Today)

Next we jump to a couple of behind-the-scenes shots from "The Wolverine". We saw some less than exciting set design photos last week, so it's nice to see Hugh Jackman in a couple here. The buzz around these is the new haircut, which I guess isn't quite as authentic to the comic books. Looks fine to me. (The Telegraph)

Here's our first shot from Steven Soderbergh's next film, "Behind the Candelabra", which will star Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, among others. The film chronicles the life of celebrated pianist Liberace. I'm digging the style here. (Vulture)

These are a few nice and bloody pics from the Eli Roth-starring horror film, "Aftershock". Not sure how the execution will come across in this typical sounding horror just yet, but I like the imagery of it. (HorrorCultFilms)

Last week we saw the first image of Michael Shannon on the set of "The Iceman", playing real life serial killer Richard Kuklinski. We have a few more this week, featuring some of the other cast members of the film, including Chris Evans, Winona Ryder and Ray Liotta. (The Playlist)

We continue our Michael Shannon coverage with a few new ones from the set of "They Came Together". This offbeat romantic comedy was written by David Wain and Michael Showalter, with Wain directing as usual. Too many cast members to name, but other than the folks featured in these photos, Michael Ian Black, Ed Helms, and Cobie Smulders also have starring roles. Plus, the photo below of Shannon might be one of the coolest photos I've seen for a while. (On Location)

Here are our first shots from the Martin McDonagh ("In Bruges", "The Guard") directed film, "Seven Psychopaths". The film, featuring a killer cast, is one of the favorites for the TIFF Midnight Madness Award this year. It hits theaters November 1, 2012. (The Playlist)

We move on to one new image for the latest James Bond film, "Skyfall". Not a whole lot happening here, but it is really weird seeing Javier Bardem with blonde hair. Plus the set design looks interesting (hit the link to the right for a larger copy of this one). (HeyUGuys)

And here's one more for the latest Resident Evil franchise, "Resident Evil: Retribution". I'm already tired of posting about this film. It hits theaters September 14, 2012, so I guess we only have a month and a half left of promo material for the film. (Bloody-Disgusting)

Three pretty standard looking photos for this Robert Lorenz project, "Trouble With the Curve". The film stars Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, and John Goodman. I have some decent interests in this film since it revolves around a fictional aging baseball scout for the Atlanta Braves. I'm hoping for some "Moneyball" magic with this project. Looks like it'll be in theaters September 28, 2012. (Entertainment Weekly)

If you thought the Anthony Hopkins-starring Alfred Hitchcock biopic was the only film in the works, think again. Here we have a handful of photos of Toby Jones and Sienna Miller as Alfred Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren, respectively. "The Girl" won't bee hitting theaters, but you will be able to catch it on HBO in October. (TV Line)

Here's our first look at Brad Pitt in the Ridley Scott film, "The Counselor". The film also stars Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, John Leguizamo, Cameron Diaz and Javier Bardem. (SlashFilm)

We finish off the Photos section with our first two photos from Rob Zombie's latest film, "The Lords of Salem". As is usually the case with Zombie's films, the imagery looks pretty great here. We'll have to see what the story gives us (expectedly, this one is about the Salem Witch Trials), but I think it should be all right. (Bloody-Disgusting)

And we'll just right into the Movie Posters section with our first poster from the film just noted above. Again, it looks pretty visually interesting. There's nothing here that we haven't seen this director do before.

Here are some new character posters for Tim Burton's new animated feature, "Frankenweenie". Again, really nothing that we haven't seen before, but the animation still looks nice. Will this end up being this generation's "The Nightmare Before Christmas"? (Collider)

"Why Stop Now" stars Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo and Tracy Morgan, and centers around a piano prodigy who, while trying to take his mother to rehab, is taken hostage by her drug dealer and swept away on his crazy adventures. Two-thirds of this cast seems perfect, but I have little interest in Tracy Morgan. It must just be his style of acting, but he always comes off as a terrible actor to me. (Movie Fanatic)

Here are a few character posters for the upcoming a cappella comedy, "Pitch Perfect". The film stars Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, and the very funny Rebel Wilson. This film is trying to be the "Bring It On" of the music world, and looks like it might succeed. We'll find out on October 5, 2012, when it hits theaters for the first time. (IMP Awards)

We delve into a few international posters, the first for "Hotel Transylvania". This animated comedy stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Adam Samberg. I dig the concept for the film but I'm not too interested in its cast. (DisneyInfo)

Here's another international poster, this time for "The Bourne Legacy". This is probably the last we'll see for the film before its release, which is a week from today. Nothing too special here, but it still features similar styles that we've seen from the film so far. (Movie Carpet)

I like the ensemble cast for this family comedy, "The Big Wedding". Lots of actors here looking to be in roles that should be good for them. And I assume Robin Williams is reprising his role from "License to Wed"? (Apple)

We go back to the international posters, though this one doesn't look too different than most we've already seen (it's the UK poster). Nonetheless, this is the newest for "Lawless", which will be in theaters August 29, 2012. (The Playlist)

And we round everything out with a new character poster from Robert Rodriguez' upcoming film, "Machete Kills". Last week it was a character poster for Lady Gaga. This time, it's for supporting member William Sadler. I'm liking the designs and am glad that Sadler got his own poster, but when are we going to get posters like this for the star characters? (Twitter)

And just to finish the post off, here are a couple of really neat images of famous actors in some new photographs from famed Disney/Vanity Fair photographer, Annie Leibovitz. The first features Russell Brand posing as Captain Hook, while the latter features, from left to right, Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segel as guests at Disney's Haunted Mansion.
