"Movie: The Movie"

Embedded below is the 9-minute skit that Jimmy Kimmel aired on his late night talk show sometime last month. Obviously, it's been floating around for a while now, but just in case you never got around to it, or if you just wanted to check it out again, here it is. Plus the only version that ever aired on TV was a shortened 3-minute clip. So there might be some material in this full-length version that's new to you.

As you can tell, it's a slow movie day over here. But as I was rifling through news and noteworthy items, I somehow or another ended up stumbling across Kimmel's YouTube page. I was immediately reminded of this little gem that I hadn't watched for a while now, and since it never showed up on this site, I figured this was as good a time as any.

So anyway, check out the video below. Some parts are kind of stupid, but there really are
some good cameos. And ultimately, I'm a fan of any actor that's willing to have a good time with this kind of stuff. My favorite parts were probably those featuring Christoph Waltz, Colin Farrel, and Helen Mirren.

What parts are your favorite?

  1. for some odd reason they also played this before our Hunger Games Viewing.

    1. haha That's really weird.. The full nine minute one?

  2. Any part of ANYTHING that uses "Holding Out For a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler is always gonna be my favorite part. Plus I've always loved the whole "Sorry Matt Damon, we ran out of time" skit. I'm glad they were able to keep that going.

  3. Plus this got me watching other clips of Matt Damon stuff, and I forget how hilarious the guy can be. I wish he threw a comedy in his schedule a little more often, or at least some funny cameos.
