"Cosmopolis" Teaser Trailer Released

In what is becoming more and more of a common thing, studios are breaking new information via facebook. Today, that trend continued as the first teaser trailer and movie poster were released for the upcoming "Cosmopolis". The poster, as you can see to the right, is a pretty good one. I really like the font and the coloring of the whole thing. And while the poster is nice, you all came here for the sex-filled teaser trailer featuring Twilight's own Robert Pattinson.

I'll definitely have to attach this one after the break because it's NSFW, but I encourage checking it out - lots of great little scenes in there that are very Cronenberg. While many fans weren't big supporters of his last film, "A Dangerous Method", it looks as if he's back to more of his roots with this project.

It's very short, and I'll be much more interested in the full version that surely will release soon, but the pace and tone of the film seem cool. And I've been a fan of the premise since I heard about it:
Cosmopolis is a day in the life of Eric Packer, a 28-year-old New York stock market multi-millionaire, as he crosses Manhattan in his customized limousine to go for a haircut. His cross-town journey becomes an almost vertical voyage, with bizarre occurrences and an authentic parade of crazy characters along the way, in a landscape that depicts the modern soul of the West at the end of the millennium.
I think it sounds cool, and Cronenberg should do a great job of coming up with some twisted stories for our characters. Plus I think Pattinson looks pretty good in this, and most of us at this blog have been saying for a while now that we can tell there's a decent actor in there. Outside of Twilight, which gives little to work with, he's put up a couple of respectable performances. This, I think, is a great vehicle for him, and a good way to see if he can carry more of a character-drama. I think he'll handle it just fine though, and it should help to slowly shed the Twilight stigma around him.

"Cosmopolis" is directed by David Cronenberg and besides Pattinson stars Samantha Morton, Paul Giamatti, Jay Baruchel, Juliette Binoche, and Sarah Gadon. It is set to release June 8, 2012.

What do you guys think of this movie? Any interest?
